Gree is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of air conditioners and heat pumps. Its units combine a variable-speed compressor, a compact design and quiet operation. We install five Gree series, all using R32 refrigerant:

Livo, Vita, Vireo or Crossover: which one?

• Gree Livo — excellent performance on a budget: self-cleaning, dehumidification, I-Feel function, self-diagnosis and low-voltage start-up. Heats down to −25 °C. See our rebate example for a Livo 12,000 BTU.
• Gree Vita — efficient and high-performing at a reasonable price, with G20 inverter technology, copper-aluminum coils and corrosion-treated fins. Heats down to −25 °C; also available in 115 V (12,000 BTU).
• Gree Vireo — maximum flexibility and performance, ultra-quiet operation and heating down to −30 °C.
• Gree Crossover — G20 inverter technology, WiFi, indoor unit self-cleaning, heating down to −30 °C and a 10-year labour warranty.
• Gree Free Match M — Gree’s multi-zone system: up to 5 indoor units on a single outdoor unit, each with its own setting. See our multi-zone heat pumps.

For a mid-sized living area, a 12,000 BTU model is often the starting point; we confirm the capacity during the quote. You can also compare with all our wall-mounted heat pumps.

Gree heat pump warranty and rebates

All our Gree heat pumps carry a manufacturer’s warranty of 10 years on the compressor and 10 years on parts. The Crossover and Free Match M series add 10 years of labour; the Livo, Vita and Vireo series include 1 year of labour. The Crossover and Free Match M are ENERGY STAR® certified.

Gree heat pump maintenance and repair

A well-maintained Gree heat pump keeps its efficiency and warranty longer. We recommend cleaning the filters regularly and having the unit inspected every year: coils, condensate drain, electrical connections and refrigerant charge. Our heat pump maintenance service takes care of everything, and our technicians also handle heat pump repair for Gree and every other brand.

Replacing an old unit? Wall-mounted heat pump replacement with a Gree starts at $2,690 + tax, with a 10-year warranty included; the final price depends on the model and setup.
